2024 InCommunityTogether Day​

This year's ICT Day was a tremendous success, marked by enthusiastic participation and a strong sense of community. Our heartfelt thanks go out to everyone who contributed to making the event a memorable one.

The day featured a variety of engaging activities, including workshops and volunteer initiatives, which brought the community together. The event fostered a warm, inclusive atmosphere, leaving a lasting positive impression on all attendees. We also saw an unprecedented level of involvement, demonstrating the community's dedication to unity and empowerment.

What's InCommunityTogether Day?

InCommunityTogether Day is a day when the community comes together to beautify the outdoor spaces of the homes of people in our community with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD). The day is full of music, fun, building community, and getting to know the people in your neighborhood while serving your community. The goal is to create a sense of community while helping to provide our neighbors with a sense of pride in their homes.

What's the Purpose?

On the surface, the purpose of InCommunityTogether Day is to clean-up and beautify the homes of the people we support before spring starts. But the real purpose of the day is so much deeper. We aim to create a sense of community and inclusion for the people we support with the people that live in their neighborhood with them while getting the homes ready for the warm weather on the horizon.

ICT Day ensures that the people we support will be ready to enjoy whatever springtime fun they choose. That might be soaking up some sun in their backyards drinking their favorite drink and reading a book, getting their roommates together for some outdoor games, or maybe they'll decide to host a BBQ with their friends and families. Whatever it is, let's make sure they are ready!

ICT Day isn't just about general yard clean up. It's about making new and lasting connections with people in your community and having fun while doing it! The day will be filled with sunshine, music, snacks, and memories to last a lifetime.
