Youth Services

Ardmore’s person-centered approach is a keystone to helping students (and their parents) move smoothly from school system programs to adult services.

Transitions can be difficult, especially for young people who are graduating from or aging out of high school. We help both the student and their parents sort through the wide variety of options available through Maryland’s Transitioning Youth Initiative through DORS or DDA.

Our goal is to assist with a seamless transition from school to the next phase of life and therefore, recommend this process begins at age 15-16. Because we are committed to community integration, all youth in our program must be willing to use public and other modes of transportation and be willing to utilize a service that does not operate inside a building or center.
